Students completing the Human Services certificate program will be qualified for entry-level work in a variety of fields requiring a basic understanding of the causes, nature and consequences of human behavior. Students will develop an understanding of how to assist others in managing behavior in order to reach their ability socially, educationally and vocationally. Career opportunities exist in youth services, retardation facilities, substance-abuse programs, and mental health units. There are also opportunities in the area of general social services.
